Our club launched an essay contest this year that challenged participants to apply the themes of Rotary's Four Way Test to their own lives.
The Four Way Test themes are:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Does it build goodwill and better friendships?
Is it beneficial to all concerned?
The contest was open to all students in Ojai schools.
Our inaugural winners were:
Sadie Horowitz - $100 first place
Lucia Hetrick - $50 second place
Both girls joined us at our May 9 regular meeting to read their winning essays.
