OSCAR LOPEZ- RCOW FEBRUARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Nordhoff Junior Oscar Lopez was nominated by his teacher Todd Dickey to be the Rotary Club of Ojai West February Student of the Month. In his introduction to the Tuesday morning Club meeting Mr. Dickey listed the many ways Oscar was deserving of this recognition-from always helping others in his History, Literacy and Journalism classes, to working hard to become an excellent writer and contributing both written articles and art work to the Nordhoff Ranger newspaper. According to Mr. Dickey "Mr. Lopez has taken on tough issues, such as the recent presidential election, a proposition that released criminals of misdemeanors and new policies under the new President. He has not shied away from controversy and has found his voice."
