Two well known and wonderful Ojai Community members Kim Stroud and Greg LaPine were given Paul Harris awards by RCOW Co-President Linda Taylor.

Kim is the Director and Founder of the Ojai Raptor Center which provides rescue and rehabilitation to native birds of prey and non-raptor birds to send them back into the wild.  They are a licensed and permitted by the CA and US Departments of Fish and Wildlife since 2000.  Kim runs the center with a small staff and many volunteers to help with the rehabilitation and the education of the public about our native birds of prey.

Greg Lapine is a recently retired teacher from Nordhoff High School where he led many conservation educational trips to the Channel Islands for students.  Linda Taylor was a volunteer on a couple of these trips and spoke highly of Greg's dedication and relationship with his students and conservation.
