Thursday evening May 17th one more community BBQ was served up to the incoming parents and students of Matilija Jr. High. Bryan Crawford hauled the RCOW BBQ trailer up to Matilija and his pit crew of David and Zack May, Bill Shouse, Mike Caldwell and Richard McArthur arrived at noon to fire up the BBQ and were ably assisted by the wonderful Stephanie Midgett, Nikki Crawford, Donna Jones and our Italian exchange student Laura Ghiani. This is an annual event at Matilija where dinner is served to the new families coming into Matilija as they tour the campus, meet the principal and teachers and are entertained by the music students.
