The November Student of the Month award was given to Nordhoff Senior Diana Ponce by the Rotary Club of Ojai West. Diana was nominated by her cross country coach and math teacher Dave Settem who has taught at Nordhoff for ten years. Coach Settem noted that Diana has attended schools in the Ojai Unified School District since kindergarten, has a 4.1 G.P.A., takes five Advanced Placement courses in her senior year, is on the cross country team and is in the top ten of her Nordhoff Senior class. Diane volunteers at Community Memorial Hospital and works at the Medicine Shoppe and plans to pursue a career in medicine as a family practioner.
