Friday October 6th Rotary Club of Ojai West hosted members of the Rotary of Korea District 3720 in Ojai prior to the start of the Rotary District 5240 Conference.  Members were taken to Lake Casitas for a boat ride on RCOW's Floating Classroom and a shopping trip in the Arcade followed by a lunch hosted by the Rotary Club of Ojai at Soule Park Golf Course Banquet Room. 
Many thanks to the planning of PDG Jack McClenahan, President Mike Caldwell as host, John Haag for piloting the boat and Marianne Niglio for providing the translator for the day. 
Rotary Districts 3720 and 5240 have a history of cooperation starting in 1997 when the Koreans were welcomed to the 1997 District Conference held in Irvine, CA.
 
In October 1998 a Sister District Agreement between the two Districts was signed  by District 5240 Governor Chungsam Doh and District 3720 Governor Park Chul.
 
In April of this year a New Sister Districts Agreement was signed between District 5240 Governor Nick Frankl and District 3721 Governor Choi Hae-sang and District 3722 Governor Kim Tae-ki.
 
The Districts have participated in many joint projects like Matching Grants, Global Grants and the two districts have participated in two Group Study Exchange Teams and District 5240 donated two Ambassadorial Scholarships to District 3720.
